Course Overview

Having been in business for over 80 years, we have been able to direct our students towards successful job opportunities, and to advance the certification level of skilled welders as well. The experienced instructors are certified, and licensed by the Technical Standards & Safety Authority (TSSA) and the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB). General Welding School LTD is registered as a Private Career College under the Private Career Colleges Act 2005. Students must be 18 years or older to apply and financing may be available through government programs.

Our programs are 90% hands-on and 10% theory. The programs are flexible enough to accommodate all aptitude levels.
Established in 1935, General Welding School Ltd. is Canada’s oldest welding school. It’s family owned and operated. Our unique approach offers entirely hands-on, one-on-one learning, under the watchful eye of a professional welder.

Programs

We have a full range of course options that can lead from entry level to advanced level positions in the welding industry. We also offer refresher courses and recertification courses for those already in the industry needing new or upgraded tickets for TSSA or CWB.
